Historical Room
Visitors and residents are encouraged to browse photos, journals, and other historical material in the south end of the library. Created by former teacher and long-time resident Mary Erickson, this room models a one-room school house. Grandchildren also enjoy looking at the glass-encased model of the village as it appeared in the 19th century.

Reference books and historical accounts also are available for checkout at the teacher's desk. They include:

On Creaking Wheels
An early history of a family in the Cormorant area is 1870. Their homestead was located just south of the village near Spring Creek.

A Pioneer History of Becker County
Written by Alvin H. Wilcox in 1907, this book contains a short history of all the townships in Becker County, plus some pictures of early settlers.

The History of Lake Park 1881-1981
Printed in conjunction with Lake Park's Centennial Celebration, it contains stories of people in the townships surrounding Lake Park.
